For Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre, the career of such an acclaimed international racing driver is consistent with its own ideals, exemplifying individuals who have turned their careers into concepts of innovation, discipline, hard work, and dedication, all values shared by Jaeger-LeCoultre.

The AMVOX 2 GRAND CHRONOGRAPH DBS Adrián Fernández Series is, a watch that revolutionizes horology by featuring a vertical trigger chronograph system activated thanks to its tilt design. This ingenious mechanism, patented by Jaeger-LeCoultre, serves to activate the functions simply by pressing the sapphire watch crystal. The watch stands out with high-tech aesthetic attributes and high performance that definitely make it an extraordinary racing driver’s watch.

The AMVOX 2 GRAND CHRONOGRAPH DBS Adrián Fernández Series is an astounding development based on the historical Memovox, ensuring a direct link between sports mechanics and superlative watchmaking. Endowed with unmatched accuracy and reliability, this creation by Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre epitomizes a revolutionary invention and breathtaking results of a relentless pursuit of aesthetic excellence.

The happy owner of an AMVOX 2 GRAND CHRONOGRAPH DBS Adrián Fernández Series watch will enjoy the privilege of handling the watch just like an automobile. A slight touch suffices to command instant reaction without detracting from the user’s focus. The chronograph function can be started or stopped by pressing at 12 o’clock, while the counters are reset to zero simply by pressing at 6 o’clock.

This unprecedented prodigy, a paragon of usability and simplicity, is built on a new movement housed in a revolutionary case. Inside, a bold pivoting mechanism ensures the precise movement of the case and bezel assembly with respect to the horns. This system actuates a series of levers that instantly transmit every command to the chronograph mechanism. Each lever is mounted on tiny stainless steel bearings, each containing 7 spheres just 0.1 mm in diameter. A selection device completes the controls on the side of the case at the 9 o’clock position, providing a three-position cursor that locks every chronograph function or only the zero reset, thus preventing the user from inadvertently starting or stopping the chronograph.

On the outside, its features are revealing: The dial adopts an unmistakable 270-degree layout evocative of the gauges found in racing cars. At a glance, it is evident that its black luminiscent numerals and painstaking detailing could only have been conceived by designers who are truly passionate about high British racing technology: The 30-minute and 12-hour chronograph indications are set on white luminiscent discs and stand out above the dial, a tribute to the pleasure racing drivers feel when their instrument panel lights up during a night time race. The black accent around the dial opens up between 4 and 8 o’clock to reveal the amazing lever mechanism that ensures the precise operation of the chronograph.

Everything and more than even the most discerning Aston Martin aficionado could have expected is there: The traditional colors of the famed automobile manufacturer; the circular graining on the dial; the design that is discretely evocative of a disc brake’s structural elements; the five DB9-inspired indicators; the impeccable finish and the refined contrast of polished and matte surfaces; the precision-molded engine elements... All incomparable attributes that showcase the fruitful partnership between Aston Martin and Jaeger-LeCoultre, which dates back to the 1920’s, when Aston Martin automobiles featured gauges and clocks signed by the Grande Maison. Aston Martin, like Jaeger-LeCoultre, has endeavored to preserve unmistakable style and class that, even today, remain in continuous evolution and are reflected in every hand-made detail.

The AMVOX 2 GRAND CHRONOGRAPH DBS Adrián Fernández Series watch boasts a high degree of mechanical genius and superlative qualities, including reliability, sturdiness, longevity, and precision -- the most notable characteristics of all Jaeger-LeCoultre movements, perfectly aligned with those of Aston Martin. The 72-hour power reserve increases the time during which the watch operates with optimal accuracy. The complex high-range pillar wheel and the elaborate vertical coupling ensure the chronograph’s precision. The balance inertia regulation -- accomplished using four rotating screws placed on the ring -- ensures the stability of the adjustment under any circumstance. Finally, the rotor bearing uses ceramic spheres that provide the precious advantage of not requiring any kind of lubrication, further enhancing long-term reliability.

Only 25 pieces of the Limited Edition AMVOX 2 GRAND CHRONOGRAPH DBS Adrián Fernández Series will be available. The case is rose gold and, honoring the origin of this celebrated racing driver, this edition will feature on the dial and the strap stitching the green, white, and red colors of Mexico’s national flag. In addition, Adrián Fernández’s initials are engraved between 7 and 8 o’clock, as well as on the back of the case.
