Hello Everyone,

I am off to England this week after a lengthy break in the schedule for the next round of the FIA World Endurance Championship – the Six Hours of Silverstone. This is an important round for us as it is the home race for Aston Martin Racing and we will have a lot of fans and families there to cheer us on.

After savoring our podium finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans these past few weeks, I am more than ready to get back to racing. The Silverstone circuit is just an incredible place to drive. It is the “home of British Motorsport” and everything about the facility is first-class. Anyone who watched the Formula One British Grand Prix there in June can attest to the fact that this track invites great racing, and I think our #97 Lowe’s Aston Martin Vantage GTE will definitely be a contender this weekend.

Going to England is always a great trip down memory lane for me. When I was just starting out, I left Mexico for England to further my career. I was a driving instructor at the Brands Hatch circuit and also a mechanic to help pay the bills and allow me to race, and those days really had a positive impact on my development as a driver. And, heading into this weekend, one thing it taught me was how to deal with the ever-changing weather conditions that are a part of racing in England.

I hear there is a 50 percent chance of rain this weekend, which will make for a great show for both our qualifying on Saturday and Sunday’s race. We will take to the track for the first time on Friday with two practice sessions at 11:30 am and 4:00 pm local time.

We head into the weekend with a lot of momentum from our result at Le Mans, and will be looking for a return to Victory Lane with the Lowe’s Vantage GTE. You can follow our progress here and also via www.fiawec.com and www.fernandezracing.com.

Thank you for your support,
Adrían
